This acid free museum grade paper is handmade in manner consistent with traditional 17 century techniques. No tree pulp is used in its formulation, only cotton linens left over from the textile industry. These are not bleached or boiled for colouring purposes which means making this paper does not further damage the planet but actually makes good use of unwanted rags, recycling if you will.
The cotton fibres are screened through on to a small wooden frame, each sheet once at a time, hence 4 deckled edges per sheet.
Very deep and rich texture makes this paper suitable for pastels, watercolour, drawing, charcoal, ink work, amongst many other mediums.
