Caran d'Ache Red Desktop Sharpening Machine
Very little has changed since Caran d'Ache began making its No. 455 desktop pencil sharpener, old-fashionably named "sharpening machine" in 1933. The item is still made in Caran d'Ache's original factory located in Thonex, nearby Geneva (here pictured). Its all-steel construction - no plastic parts whatsoever - makes it virtually indestructible and suitable for multiple life times worth of pencil sharpening.
For use with one hand only, it can be mounted to a desk or other furniture. It also features a clever adjustment setting for either soft (blunt) or hard (sharp) pencils. Finally no need for a bin, the receptacle drawer will collect shavings as you go.
Suitable for sharpening leads sized from ø 4mm to 10mm in various shapes
Dimensions: 11.5 x 14 cm x 9 cm
Spare blade can be purchased once blunt (after years of use, not months)
This rare and collectible special red model is a special limited edition - while stock last.
