A faithful reproduction of historical playing cards in German style - with leaves for spades, bells for diamonds, acorns for clubs, hearts for hearts! This deck from 1819, includes numbers 6-10, an ace, and three male face cards, Jack, Cavalier and King per each suit.
A natural progression for our shop and our love of paper, given the parallel narrative between card manufacturing and decorative paper making both utilising the craft knowledge of woodblock print.
