Caran d'Ache Swiss Wood 348 HB Pencil

£5.00

Just in case you might forget, (or didn't know) Caran d'Ache is a Swiss company! Indeed the pencil maker likes to remind of this fact and patriotically releases many subtle (not) special editions featuring cows in pastures, chocolate, Matterhorn themed stationery and of course anything in bright red colour.

Usually stationery-nationalism isn't our cup of tea, but we have been lured in by the thick coat of red paint coating featuring the Swiss cross at the end of this pencil. Arghh, nobody's perfect and we are stationery addicts unfortunately...

Made nearby Geneva, and using Swiss beech wood sourced in Glovelier in the Jura county, consistent with Caran d'Ache's usual production - this is a high quality pencil, finished in a beautiful way.

The use of beech wood, instead of the usual in incense cedar, gives this pencil a hefty and solid feel. The graphite is graded HB, suitable for everyday writing and sketching.

Sold in singles.

Kindly note the pencil's design has changed slightly in comparison to the pictures: it no longer features the FSC logo or the model number 348.
