Choosing Keeping

Choosing Keeping is a small, independent shop built on a creative but hands-on approach to retail. We handle everything in-house, from PR, manufacturing of bespoke products to complex visual merchandising ; there are so many interesting and diverse facets to great shopkeeping. Our team is a stable group of hardworking, supportive, and caring people - working closely together on the shop floor and behind the scenes to deliver excellent customer service and experience. Roles here are practical and hands-on, but also challenging and demanding, with real responsibility and room to grow. We look for people who are reliable, committed, and looking to pursue a career in retail.

Shop Team Leader (4-Day Weekly Contract)

We are offering two fixed 4-day contracts (full-time will also be considered) 

Wednesday to Saturday
Sunday to Wednesday

Shifts alternate weekly between early and late (8am–5pm or 10am–7pm)

This role would suit someone who is calm under pressure, organised, and comfortable taking responsibility and initiative. You should enjoy working with people, be clear in your communication, and care about doing things properly. Reliability and commitment is essential.

Shop Assistant (3-Day Weekly Contract)

We are offering a 3-day contract Sunday to Tuesday

Shifts alternate weekly between early and late (8am–5pm or 10am–7pm)

This Assistant role would be a good fit for someone who enjoys practical, customer-facing work in a buzzy and well-run retail environment. You will be part of the day-to-day life of the shop, helping customers, keeping the space orderly, and supporting the wider team. Reliability and commitment is essential.
