Small Cuzzle Cat Jigsaw Puzzle
Here a tiny little jigsaw puzzle, but perfectly formed, affectionately named a cuzzle and depicting a soft white kitten painted by a the cat-loving Dutch impressionist Henriette Ronner-Knip (1821-1909). Makes fantastic and unsuspecting stocking filler.
Made in France, unlike cardboard machine cut puzzles, stamped out indiscriminately of the image portrayed, this design is truer to the essence of the game - where the maker, by eye, cuts each piece so it seamlessly blends into another, with no interlocking system, making it about 3 times more difficult to assemble. In this way, puzzle piece reveal themselves into small shapes present within the overall image - a delight to discover, and finely cut from poplar wood, the object is in itself a very beautiful thing to handle.
Made in Burgundy, France, using poplar EU wood sourced from sustainably managed forests.
30 pieces, box measures approximately 9 x 9cm
