Premium Saiun-do Japanese Watercolour Paint Brushes

£50.00

We are pleased to offer as part of our assortment this selection of premium, beautifully crafted Japanese brushes made in Kyoto. They have been fashioned with bamboo reeds for handles and using natural bristles traditionally used in brush making such as sable, deer and sheep hair.

The perfect partner for use with Gansai and mineral pigment Nihonga paints, or perhaps something interesting or unsual to paint Western watercolours with.

The larger Saishiki has a medium resistance in the tip, and holds paint beautifully for laying down colour and painting in larger areas. The finer Menso (who's name derives from painting faces exclusively) is perfect for finer detail and lines.

Paintbrushes are sold separately, please select your preferred brush from the dropdown above, listed from top to bottom.
