Not as formal as our Florentine wrapping paper, tissue paper can be none the less very useful especially when wrapping small things, rounded or awkward shaped.
History:
Unfortunately tissue paper is often bit underwhelming printed with less than cutting edge designs. Certainly Toile de Jouy pattern is not cutting edge, given it was first produced in 18 century France (on fabric) - but here at Choosing Keeping the pattern lives strong! Scenes of pastoral living in candy coloured shades for wrapping chocolates and pretty things - sounds like something out of Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette dreamy vision of Versailles Castle.
