One of the smaller pencil makers in Japan and based in Tokyo, run by charming and warm people who are really very enthusiastic about pencils - as the small shinto shrine dedicated to the humble tool located by the factory will attest to.
This pack is one of few designs across the industry with a rubber eraser, a feature some pencil users cannot do without. We love the pinstripe packaging, sort of pencil love child of the 80s and gothic attire.
Kitaboshi is on the dryer side, and thus this is a true HB. Consistent with Japanese high quality pencil making the cedar wood used here sharpens beautifully and leads are seldom broken as a result.
